So here we go.
First off, when one football player was raving about the football game being a war in which the other players were going to kill him, I was not sure whether to laugh at his delusions or be angry at his seriousness. Eventually, I went with angry.
He does not know what war is anymore than those kids with G.I. Joe's that we discussed last week or so. Whoever he is, he does not have the right to compare the game that he plays to the battle for life or death, freedom or oppression.
That's just foolishness.
I do think that the military should be recognized at games. They deserved to be recognized for their services.
Unfortunately, the general public of America isn't going to take the time to show their patriotism. But if it just so happens to occur before something they are already doing (such as a football game), then they just go with the flow and even start to think it was their idea in the first place.
The military has to be brought to where the people are to be acknowledged.
How sad.

I did a lot of deleting and rewording, but I think that's how I feel in a G-rated nutshell.
I've decided to refrain from discussing women in sports.
For now.
