When I was younger I dressed up as Spiderman for an entire month. I have the pictures of me getting ready for school and I am actually taking pictures as if I was Spiderman. I think I put the costume on because I felt invincible, and like I could do anything. Of course the boys told me I could not be Spiderman because I was a girl but I stood my ground. I thought that I could conquer all evil. Now I know I was just a little nerd punching random people. I think that we do associate certain ideals when we talk about superheroes. They are strong, intelligent, and they help everyone. They are the good guys and they fight for the little man. I think it is funny because when I told my dad about this conversation he was so stuck on the intelligent part. He basically was saying that both the hero and the villain are intelligent yet they are completely different. The good guy uses his intelligence to help the world and the bad guy uses it for his own personal gain, which is usually against the world. So I don’t know if that means anything but I think that showing your intelligence can be used for good or evil are interesting. You should use it to help people and not for your own personal gain. I think that it was an interesting comment that he made. I really did like this conversation because I related to it because I was once a superhero.
